Which Visa to Apply for
It's likely that you'll require a Visitor Visa, but you should confirm that something else does not apply.
Other possibilities include the Business Visitor Visa that might be relevant for employees of the event sponsors, for example, and the Academic Visitor Visa that enables academics to work for less than 3 months in the country.
Before 24h of arrival, you should also submit a New Zealand Traveller Declaration (NZTD).
Applying for your Visa
Confirm that the name in your visa matches the name in your passport. If it does not, then contact Immigration New Zealand as soon as possible.
Request an invitation letter
